2021 Wisconsin Middle School Physical Education Teacher of the Year
As I reflect on being recognized as the 2021 Wisconsin middle school teacher of the year, it is of utmost importance to my teaching career due to several reasons. Firstly, building strong relationships with students and families fosters a supportive learning environment, enhancing students' academic and personal growth. Secondly, connecting physical education to the surrounding community reinforces the relevance of the subject and promotes community engagement. Thirdly, my commitment to continual professional learning, particularly in instructional models, ensures you stay up-to-date with effective teaching methods, benefiting my students' education. Moreover, being innovative in my teaching approach allows for creative and dynamic learning experiences. Utilizing standards to plan instruction and implementing high-quality assessments further guarantees that my students receive a well-rounded education. The recognition not only validates my hard work but also serves as a testament to my dedication and impact on all students' lives.
